From Yerevan to Johannesburg

Mount Ararat at dusk on the left and the Johannesburg skyline with the Hillbrow Tower on the right, joined across the horizon by a glowing amber audio waveform

When I launched this website on July 31, I hoped it would make it easier for people to find me and hear what I do. Since then, a few good things have come my way, and I'm grateful for every one of them.

This month, Intertalent, a voice agency based in Johannesburg, added me to its roster. They represent me exclusively for South Africa, so clients there looking for an Armenian, Persian, English or Turkish voice can now book me through them. Everywhere else, nothing changes: I'm still an independent artist, and you can reach me directly.

It wasn't a formality. The Intertalent team asked for a QuickPlay reel covering all four languages, walked me through their representation agreement, and patiently answered every question I had. By the end, it felt less like being added to a list and more like joining a team. Thank you, Mandy and Kayla.

I'm happy with how that QuickPlay reel turned out. To hear it, open Intertalent's voice artist list and search for Armenian, Persian or Turkish. You'll find it next to my name and photo in the results.

I'll be honest: Armenian and Persian aren't the languages South African clients ask for most, and Intertalent was upfront with me about that from the start. They welcomed me anyway. For a voice actor based in Yerevan, being represented by a Johannesburg agency is a big deal, and I don't take it lightly.

Over the years, I've joined plenty of voice platforms on my own, accepted kind invitations through LinkedIn, and been added to vendor lists after a single email. Each of those has its place. Some agencies, though, work a little like an orchestra: before offering you a chair, they put their own sheet music in front of you and listen to you play. Intertalent, FlyVoiceovers, The Voice Realm and Online Voices each sent me a script of their own, and only after hearing me read it did they welcome me onto their rosters.

So thank you to every team that took the time to listen properly. And if you're looking for a native Armenian or Persian voice, or a reliable English or Turkish one, my contact page is always open.
